In the Urdu community in Kuwait and Karachi, Pakistan, women often bear the responsibility of managing their households, taking care of children, and sometimes also working outside the home. This juggling act can lead to physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion, commonly known as fatigue. One of the factors contributing to women's fatigue in this community is the prevailing cultural attitudes towards gender roles. Women are often expected to fulfill traditional roles such as being the primary caregivers and homemakers. These expectations can result in an overwhelming workload that leaves women with little time for self-care or relaxation. Furthermore, the lack of support systems and resources can exacerbate women's fatigue. In some cases, women may not have access to adequate healthcare, childcare services, or mental health support, making it difficult for them to prioritize their well-being. Addressing women's fatigue in the Urdu community requires a multi-faceted approach that involves challenging traditional gender norms, advocating for greater support systems, and promoting self-care practices. Empowering women to prioritize their health and well-being is crucial in combating fatigue and improving overall quality of life. It is essential for the community members, organizations, and policymakers to come together to create a more supportive environment for women. By raising awareness about women's fatigue and implementing initiatives that promote self-care and well-being, we can work towards alleviating the burden that many women in the Urdu community in Kuwait and Karachi, Pakistan face.
